Margaret Sanger: A Life of Passion
Trained as a nurse and midwife in New York’s Lower East Side gritty slums, Margaret Sanger grew aware of the dangers of unplanned pregnancy—both physical and psychological. Sanger ignited a movement that has shaped our society to this day. Her views on reproductive rights have made her a frequent target of conservatives and moral zealots.

In this captivating new biography, the renowned feminist historian Jean H. Baker rescues Sanger from such critiques and restores her to the vaunted place in history she once held.

New John F. Kennedy Quote and Liberal Accomplishments Designs

We are excited to announce that Brother Apollo has designed not one but two new designs!

Brother Apollo has always liked President John F. Kennedy elegant defense of liberals.

Kennedy’s Elegant Quote in Defense of Liberals and Liberalism —

…if by a liberal they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes that we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a liberal, then I’m proud to say that I’m a liberal.

John F. Kennedy
September 14, 1960 speaking before the New York State Liberal Party

Brother Apollo said, “With all the discussion of Senator Barack Obama being like JFK, Kennedy’s quote came immediately to mind. I knew then that I had to do something with it. I wanted to come up with a way to inform those who may not remember or know about the quote, about its existence.” Below is the result of Brother Apollo efforts.

While pondering his design options, Brother Apollo commenced ruminating about liberalism effects upon mankind. After filling up several scrolls, it was suggested he display the effects of liberalism. Not one to run from a challange, Brother Apollo came up with a design displaying off some of the accomplishments of liberalism.

“Liberalism have push societies forward in many areas. Many people don’t associate these accomplishments as part of liberal movements and don’t think of themselves as liberals. Some of these people may start thinking deeper about what is and isn’t liberalism,” Brother Apollo said.

Some of the accomplishments of liberalism that Brother Apollo came up with are:

  A 40 hour work week
A minimum wage
Social Security
Safe food
Safe products
Civil rights for all
A balanced Federal budget
Regulation of financial markets
Clean air and water
Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
The G.I. Bill Of Rights
Overtime pay
Child labor laws
Workers’ compensation
Unemployment insurance
Securities & Exchange Commission
Medicare/Medicaid
Peace Corps
A woman’s right to vote
Student grant and loan programs
Employer paid medical insurance
Employer paid vacations
Employer funded pension plans

Shown below is Brother’s Apollo’s design.
